David has an extensive and diverse defence and prosecution practice, He specialises in sexual offences, particularly historic and cases involving child witnesses; robbery squad conspiracies; drug importation; extreme violence; fraud with experience   in VHCC/contract case’s and in particular fraud conspiracies with African connections.

David has the ability to empathise with all clients regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, background and education. Because of his heavy caseload of sex crimes he is adept at dealing with fragile witnesses.

He enjoys the dialogue with solicitors and would always travel to their offices, in preference to Chambers, should a conference be required. He is regarded as sociable, approachable and views each new case as an enjoyable exciting challenge. David enjoys the cut and thrust of the court room, but can use negotiation skills when necessary.

R-v Hooton & Ors – Lincoln CC – Child cruelty, by relative and boyfriend, involving scolding in bathwater of 8 year old victim

R-v Vernage & Ors- Snaresbrook CC – Conspiracy to commit armed robbery, 30 in total.
