The Chambers of John Coffey QC

  • Peter Rouch was appointed Queens Counsel in 1996 following a fully engaged and successful practice as a junior in South Wales.

On taking silk Peter moved to London where he enjoys the reputation of an extremely busy and sought after leader. His practice is not only centered on London and South Wales but he also appears on behalf of clients in other major court centres of the UK.

He has appeared in innumerable cases of homicide, varying from domestic murders to contract killings, appearing in the well reported Rebecca Aylward murder in the summer of 2011. He  has also appeared in several 'Operation Trident' gun crime trials.

In addition to the above Peter receives instructions on a regular basis in high profile fraud cases (including regulatory offences on behalf of large corporations). His current fraud caseload includes a £27 million land banking fraud, a significant recycling fraud and a mobile phone fraud.

Peter Rouch has recently concluded defending in the alleged police corruption case 'The Cardiff 3' which concluded in extraordinary circumstances.
