In a previous life, before being called to the Bar, Tanya was a Whitehall spin doctor working in Environment.
She had short spell in Downing Street and more recently completed a year at the Serious Fraud Office as Press Officer.
Currently Tanya undertakes mostly defence work involving sex cases, children and public disorder.
She is a Legal Advisor to the Independent Custody Visitors Association (ICVA). And an Independent member of the Parole Board.
Notable Cases:
R v Collins (2001) first case involving the recognition of restorative justice in the sentencing process.
