Gordon Ross secures acquittal in money laundering case

Gordon Ross represented a lorry driver charged under the Proceeds of Crime Act following the discovery of £1/4 million worth of Euros hidden in a container in the trailer of his truck was acquitted following his trial at Canterbury Crown Court. The driver denied all knowledge of the presence of the money. The defence challenged failings in disclosure of material and alleged that unknown officials had tampered with evidence. This led to the prosecution offering no further evidence at the conclusion of their case. A not guilty verdict was entered on the direction of the trial judge.
