Patrick Harte appears for local councillor in successful appeals against conviction

Patrick Harte

With Patrick Harte instructed, a local Councillor successfully appealed all three convictions from Milton Keynes Magistrates Court arising out on an incident of alleged assault involving local youths.

In a case which attracted much media attention, the Councillor had been accused of assaulting two youths and further threatening them in a scenario likened to "Hot Fuzz" where the older members of the community try to kill their younger counterparts.

After Patrick made submissions to the court on the inconsistences apparent throughout the complainant's evidence, focusing primarily on the issue of collusion, the court held that the Councillor had 'no case to answer'.

After being acquitted of all charges, the Councillor was awarded costs.
