Patrick Harte secures acquittal in Conspiracy to Steal case

Patrick Harte

Patrick Harte has secured an acquittal in a Conspiracy to Steal case at Isleworth Crown Court.

The defendant's name, address and personal details had been used to register a stolen vehicle with the DVLA. He was unable to explain why he gave the DVLA documents, which had arrived at his address in his name, to his co-defendant before even opening the post himself. He lied throughout the police interviews before offering a third account in evidence, yet still failing to explain contact made with his co-defendant at opportune times.
