Patrick Harte secures acquittal in S.18 knife attack

Patrick Harte

Patrick Harte has secured the acquittal in 20 minutes of a defendant accused of slashing another man's throat in a busy Wolverton pub last June. The complainant required 20 stiches.

Although it was common ground, the parties were known to each other and had seen each other that evening. The defence run was one of ID. The complainant claimed because of where the parties were standing in the pub it could not have been anyone else who stabbed him, with the defence successfully refuting the accusation whilst accepting presence.

Patrick was instructed by Woodfines Solicitors.
