Patrick Harte instrumental in the relaunch of The London Irish Lawyers Association

Patrick Harte

The London Irish Lawyers Association was re-launched in the Embassy of Ireland in London on 11th October 2012. Chambers' Patrick Harte was instrumental in the founding of the Re-launch Committee.

Ambassador McDonagh welcomed over 100 lawyers to the event, including barristers, solicitors and legal academics of every level. The Guest of Honour was County Down native, Lord Brian Kerr of Tonaghmore, Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. Lord Kerr spoke about his time as Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland and gave an engaging and personal insight into life in the Supreme Court.

Ambassador McDonagh explained that relationships between these islands had never been better. He stated that the forging of professional relationships between Irish Lawyers and British lawyers, both here and in Ireland, would only serve to continue this welcome development.
