Andrew is instructed in all areas of serious criminal work, including murder (as a led junior), attempted murder, serious drug-importation cases, serious sex cases and multi-handed frauds. He is also regularly instructed in workplace health and safety cases.
He is an expert in computer-based and electronic evidence, with a degree major in information technology and industry-based computer programming experience. He has lectured on the topic of computer/telephone-based evidence and regularly asked to act when this type of evidence is central to a case.
Andrew was educated in South Africa and went on to work for some of the major financial institutions in London, including Morgan Stanley and Cantor Fitzgerald, specialising in the field of fixed-income derivatives.
He has also worked in the field of historic racing, managing an engineering company which specialised in the racing of historic Formula One cars from the 1960s and 1970s.
Andrew has a reputation of being straight-talking and approachable. He is known as a fighter and is respected by both lay and professional clients. As a fluent Afrikaans speaker, he is popular with South African defendants.
When time permits, he can be found racing and repairing historic cars, or playing sport.
