Isabella is a confident and persuasive trial advocate who is developing a strong reputation for jury advocacy and meticulous case preparation. She is regularly instructed in serious Crown Court litigation, both as sole counsel and as junior counsel in substantial multi-handed cases. Isabella has experience of organised crime, Class A drug conspiracies, EncroChat evidence, money laundering, serious violence, domestic abuse and complex evidential trials. She has successfully represented clients in both Crown Court proceedings and appellate litigation arising from offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Isabella prosecutes and defends across the full spectrum of criminal law. She appears regularly in the Crown Court and has developed significant experience beyond her year of call, acting both as sole counsel in jury trials and as junior counsel in lengthy and complex criminal cases.
Alongside a growing serious crime practice, Isabella has secured acquittals in a range of contested Crown Court trials involving allegations of false imprisonment, non-fatal strangulation, violence and domestic abuse.
Isabella accepts both privately funded and publicly funded instructions and welcomes enquiries in relation to Dangerous Dogs Act matters, including advice prior to charge, Crown Court proceedings, destruction order applications and appeals.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Isabella enjoyed a successful international business career, holding senior commercial and management positions in the UK and Europe. Her previous experience gives her a practical understanding of business, strategy, client relationships and decision-making which she brings to her legal practice.

She has been instructed as junior counsel in substantial Crown Court cases involving allegations of large-scale drug trafficking, importation, production of controlled drugs, money laundering and complex telecommunications evidence. Her experience includes lengthy multi-handed trials, EncroChat litigation, expert evidence, disclosure disputes, bad character applications and detailed legal argument.
R v ZP
Defence junior counsel, led by Jeremy Wainwright KC, in a substantial hundred kilo conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis trial. The case involved disputed handset attribution, cell-site evidence, ANPR material, handwriting evidence and extensive telecommunications analysis.
R v HI
Defence junior counsel in a major EncroChat prosecution involving allegations of importation, production and supply of controlled drugs. The case involved extensive EncroChat attribution evidence, technical expert evidence, psychiatric fitness issues, complex legal submissions and significant sentencing issues arising from allegations involving more than 70 kilograms of controlled drugs.

Defence junior counsel in a multi-handed Class A drug conspiracy trial. The case involved telecommunications evidence, cell-site analysis, expert drug evidence, bad character applications and extensive disclosure issues.
R v RK
Defence junior counsel in proceeds of crime proceedings arising from allegations of large-scale drug trafficking. The case concerned allegations of money laundering involving substantial cash sums, luxury goods, vehicles and property said to derive from criminal activity.
Isabella is instructed in a broad range of Crown Court matters and has secured acquittals in numerous contested jury trials.
R v KM
Secured acquittals on all counts following a five-day Crown Court trial involving allegations of false imprisonment and associated offences. Successfully challenged the prosecution case and obtained not guilty verdicts across the indictment.
R v CJ
Secured acquittals on all counts in a jury trial involving allegations of intentional strangulation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and sending a message conveying a threat of serious harm. The case involved significant credibility issues and successful cross-examination of the complainant.
R v SS
Secured a unanimous acquittal on a charge of intentional strangulation following a contested jury trial. Successfully resisted a subsequent application for a restraining order.
R v JF
Secured acquittals on all contested counts following a multi-day Crown Court trial involving allegations of violence and breach of court orders. The case involved disclosure issues, bad character applications and identification evidence.
R v FF
Secured an acquittal following a contested Crown Court trial involving an allegation of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Successfully resisted a bad character application relating to a previous conviction for murder and opposed reliance on additional police material.
R v GB
Successfully secured the dismissal of a criminal damage prosecution following a successful submission of no case to answer. The case centred on disputed identification evidence, including purported recognition from poor-quality Ring doorbell footage and alleged voice recognition.
R v TW
Secured an acquittal on an allegation of racially aggravated common assault following a contested Crown Court trial. The defence case centred on CCTV and witness evidence arising from a road-rage incident. Through cross-examination, significant inconsistencies were exposed in the complainant’s account, including his denial of matters contradicted by video footage.
R v FA
Successfully secured the exclusion of the prosecution’s identification evidence in a sexual assault prosecution following a contested application under section 78 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. Isabella argued that the police had failed to comply with identification procedures under PACE Code D and that the alleged identification evidence was incapable of safely linking the defendant to the offending. The trial judge excluded all identification evidence, finding that its admission would adversely affect the fairness of the proceedings. The Crown subsequently offered no evidence and a not guilty verdict was entered.
Isabella accepts instructions on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service and prosecuting authorities.
R v AD
Prosecuted a multi-count indictment involving allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation and threats to disclose intimate images. Secured convictions on significant counts following a contested Crown Court trial.
Isabella has experience representing owners in proceedings arising under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and related animal control legislation.
Her work includes cases involving allegations of dogs dangerously out of control, injury offences, destruction orders, disqualification orders and sentencing appeals. She is particularly well placed to advise private clients given her experience of both Crown Court litigation and appellate advocacy in this area.

Successfully represented the appellant in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) in an appeal against sentence arising from offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. The appeal challenged both the categorisation of the offending and the decision to impose immediate custody. The Court of Appeal reduced the sentence.
Isabella has experience of appellate advocacy and has appeared successfully in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). She accepts instructions in appeals against conviction and sentence, as well as advice on merits and drafting grounds of appeal.
R v JE
Successfully represented the appellant in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) in an appeal against sentence. The appeal challenged the categorisation of the offending, the weight attached to previous convictions and the decision not to suspend the custodial sentence. The Court of Appeal reduced the sentence imposed at first instance.
