Patrick Harte enjoys a busy defence practice throughout the South Eastern Circuit.
He accepts instructions nationwide, defending the full range of the most serious criminal offences with a particular focus on organised crime and serious violence.
Patrick is a founding committee member of the London Irish Lawyers Association, of which he was elected joint Chairperson from 2012-2015.
Having worked in the legal department of a large multinational company in Paris, he speaks fluent French. He is also fluent in Irish Gaelic.
Outside of the Bar, he follows the Republic of Ireland football team and enjoys cycling up steep hills. In 2017, along with his wife, Patrick cycled through 26 countries covering 15,000km from London to South East Asia.

instructed as sole junior to represent member of multi-handed conspiracy to import from France approximately 90kg of Class A drugs.
R v B & Others (Kingston Crown Court)
instructed as led junior representing the alleged head of multi-handed conspiracy to supply in excess of one tonne of Class A drugs throughout the south of England as part of Operation Labootin.
R v H & Others (Plymouth Crown Court)
instructed as sole junior in multi-handed conspiracy to import and supply Class A drugs throughout the south-west of England as part of Operation Mercury.
R v B & Another (Basildon)
Instructed as sole junior in a case of Attempted Murder. The victim was stabbed numerous times in the neck by a masked man allegedly motivated by vigilantism.
R v H (Wood Green)
Instructed as led junior to represent man accused of joint-enterprise murder. The victim was stabbed outside a north London tube station in broad day light.

Instructed as led junior in multi-handed trial to represent man accused of murder. The victim was shot at close range in a quiet London suburb in broad day light.

instructed as sole junior to represent man accused of crime spree spanning two days, including two allegations of attempted murder and multiple allegations of offences contrary to s.16a FA 1968.

led junior defending trial arising out of Operation Leadcen, an alleged multi-handed conspiracy concerning the possession of firearms with intent to endanger life.
