Ruwani Roberts specialises in criminal and regulatory law and has experience acting as both defence and prosecution counsel in the criminal courts.
She currently undertakes CPS Panel Level 2 prosecutions.
Ruwani also has considerable experience in regulatory crime, including environmental, trading standards, and health and safety prosecutions. Prior to joining Chambers, she spent four and a half years as a Prosecution and Enforcement Lawyer at the London Borough of Camden, where she was highly regarded for the quality of her work.
She is an experienced disclosure counsel and has acted for the Serious Fraud Office as Independent Disclosure Counsel in the LIBOR and EURIBOR prosecutions, as well as Independent LPP Counsel in an investigation involving an international steel company.
Ruwani is known for her friendly and approachable manner.
She volunteers with the Inner Temple Outreach Programme and is passionate about supporting young people from under privileged backgrounds on their journey to the Bar.
