Siobhan Cawkwell has a busy criminal practice in the Crown, Youth, and Magistrates’ Court.
She already has experience in a wide range of cases including armed robberies, drug conspiracies and dangerous driving matters.
She receives both privately and publicly funded instructions. She is a Grade 1 prosecutor.
R v CA (2023)
Secured an acquittal in respect of a youth charged with violent disorder, which was captured on CCTV. Successfully raised self-defence.
R v HM (2023)
Successful half-time submission for HM, charged with assaulting his neighbour.
R v AB (2023)
Secured a conditional discharge for AB, convicted of assaulted an emergency worker by smearing blood on the officer.
R v HH (2023)
Secured a suspended sentence for HH, convicted of conveying controlled drugs into prison.
R v IA (2023)
Secured an acquittal for IA charged with burglary, where he was seen entering the premises on Ring Doorbell footage.
R v LD (2023)
Secured an acquittal in a dangerous driving case, where LD drove away from officers at speed on a narrow lane, where the incident was captured on BWV.
R v ML (2023)
Secured an acquittal where ML disputed, he was the driver. ML was identified by name by the Complainant.
R v BF (2023)
Secured a suspended sentence where BF had been convicted following an extensive police pursuit.
