Christopher Bertham ensured acquittals on all charges for a defendant who was alleged to have funded terrorism in Syria. The case was based on a number of financial transfers and social media communications alleged to have demonstrated the funding of armed rebellion against the Syrian regime. The case involved expert evidence on the conduct of the Syrian regime and the various stages of civil war during which funding occurred. The jury acquitted within two hours after a trial lasting over two weeks.
