Clare Dowse has represented a client who has been cleared at Maidstone Crown Court of all 14 counts on an indictment which alleged historic rapes and indecent assaults by a man on both his step-daughter and her grandmother. The trial, which lasted seven days, featured some unusual evidence, including the suggestion that one of the two complainants had contacted The Trisha Goddard Show, a popular TV confessional programme, in order to attempt to air the allegations to the public.
