Gordon Ross represented a defendant who was alleged to be part of a family group who brought a family member over from eastern Europe and held her in slavery and servitude, forcing her to work, claim unentitled benefits, subjecting her to verbal and physical abuse and making her steal.

Following a successful submission of no case to answer at the close of the prosecution case, Not Guilty verdicts were entered by the jury on the judge’s direction. against Gordon’s client.
