John Clifford secures the conviction of a Met police officer for rape. The Court allowed the admission of two prior acquittals for the same offence. The victim was also a police officer and raped as she slept after a New Year’s party in 2018. The Court adjourned sentence for a Pre-Sentence Report with an assessment of dangerousness.
