Jon Rosen secures rape acquittal

Jonathan Rosen

Following a five day trial at Taunton Crown Court Jon Rosen secured the acquittal of his lay client who had been charged with a single count of rape. The allegation was that the complainant, who had met the defendant for the first time earlier that night, was shoved into his room by a third party and then forcibly pushed by the defendant onto his bed and raped. The complainant notified others on the premises immediately and was described as being in a highly distressed state.

Jonathan was instructed by Kevin Bowles of Sperrin Law
