Katie Porter-Windley secures acquittal for s.20 GBH which involved life changing injuries, at Birmingham Crown Court.

Katie Porter-Windley

Katie Porter-Windley, instructed by JD Solicitors, represented a client at Birmingham Crown Court for a five day trial. Katie successfully advanced self defence, and argued causation, demonstrating not only that the defendant had been acting in self defence in the course of his work as security, but additionally that the complainant had obtained life changing injuries due to possible third party intervention during the altercation, and it could not be said that the defendant caused such injuries. The jury unanimously acquitted on the indictment.
