Katie Porter-Windley successfully prosecuted a man at trial who faced ABH, six counts of strangulation, and a count of assault by beating, which involved three different victims over the course of a two-year period, resulting in convictions on all counts.
The male had been in a relationship with one of the victims, strangling her on different dates between 2022 and 2024, including on one occasion further strangling the victims’ friends, and throwing her out of his house. The trial involved several witnesses spanning the indictment period. The jury returned unanimous guilty verdicts on all counts.
