Matthew Keliris-Thomas

Matthew Keliris-Thomas, instructed by Catherine Dormon of John Fuller & Partners, secures acquittal at half-time for client accused of burglary and fraud by false representation.

Matthew Keliris-Thomas was instructed in a multi-handed burglary trial at St Albans Crown Court with each defendant also facing charges of fraud by false representation. Matthew made a successful submission of no case to answer with the Recorder finding ‘the circumstantial evidence is tenuous, inherently weak and vague, to bolster that there is no hard evidence’ and in line with counsel’s submissions finding that the identification evidence was ‘poor and unsupported and should not go before the jury.’ The trial continued for the second defendant alone.
