Michael Stradling, leading Stephen Cooke, instructed by Miriam Altaf of Carson Kaye Solicitors represented the only defendant of three to be acquitted after a 5 week trial involving encrochat heard at Reading Crown Court.
All three defendants faced an indictment alleging conspiracies to supply large quantities of class A drugs, money laundering, and conspiracy to transfer firearms (machine guns and assault rifles).
This is the third consecutive encrochat acquittal for Michael Stradling.
The case involved cross-examination of Luke Shrimpton and issues of encrochat data reliability, as well as general issues of attribution.
