The defendant was accused of smuggling in over 180 packages consisting of 60kg of cocaine and 40kg of heroin, valued at over £6million, concealed in the void of the rear doors of his truck.
Notwithstanding thats his DNA was on several of the packages, the prosecution case was agreed in full. A powerful defence closing speech clearly resonated with the jury who found the defendant not guilty of all charges.
