Naeem secured a sentence of 3-years imprisonment for a defendant charged with possession of 2 loaded firearms and ammunition; one was a 9mm Parabellum calibre self-loading pistol with 11 bullets and the other was a Long Rifle calibre, Browning Buck Mark self-loading pistol with 7 bullets. Naeem successfully argued exceptional circumstances allowing the Court to depart from the statutory minimum sentence of at least 5-years imprisonment.
