Simon Connolly makes successful submission of no case in handling scrap metal trial

Simon Connolly

Simon Connolly has made a successful submission of no case following seven days of evidence in a substantial scrap metal handing case at Bristol Crown Court. The trial continues against the co-defendants.

Simon Connolly successfully represented a senior member of staff at a prestigious scrap yard that was targeted by an undercover police operation lasting several months. The case was stopped at half time after cross-examination of undercover officers revealed serious shortcomings in the prosecution case and ultimately there was no case to answer.

The trial against the remaining defendants continues.

Simon was instructed by Goldstones Solicitors of Swansea
