Tim Forte concludes in Operation Ewings

Tim Forte

Tim Forte has appeared in Operation Ewings, part 1 and 2 at Chester Crown Court. The defendant was convicted and sentenced in 2013 on multiple counts of Credit Licence and Money Laundering offences. Tim was not instructed at trial but was brought in by new solicitors to act in the POCA confiscation case. The Crown alleged that the defendant had obtained a benefit in excess of £1.8m and had realisable assets of over £1.9m. After substantial work on this complicated case, involving historic property and banking transactional history, with the invaluable assistance of an excellent forensic accountant expert, the Crown finally agreed to accept a confiscation order of only £750,000.

Tim was instructed by DDE Law.
