Defendant charged with selling stories about Prince Harry to the ‘The Sun’ and the ‘News of the World’ newspapers.

Gordon Ross has successfully defended a former soldier charged with misconduct in public office. Arising from Operation Elveden, the Metropolitan Police enquiry into corrupt payments to newspapers, the former soldier was charged with selling stories about Prince Harry to the News of the World and the Sun newspapers. Prince Harry and the soldier were both serving in the Household Cavalry at the time.

The jury unanimously acquitted the defendant after a trial at the Old Bailey.
