Rupert Hallowes has secured the acquittal at Brighton Crown Court of a defendant on a charge of a converting criminal property of a loader of bonded carts on easyJet flights at Gatwick Airport, an allegation arising out of a conspiracy to steal £2.3 million worth of bonded goods from Gate Gourmet, his employer. The client was one of only two defendants out of seventeen charged with converting to be acquitted. The trial occupied the court for three weeks.
