Charles Durrant successful in the Court of Appeal

Charles Durrant

Charlie Durrant was successful in the Court of Appeal in reducing his client's sentence for burglary, thefts and a breach of a suspended sentence order from 21 months to 11 months imprisonment. This led to the Appellant's near immediate release.

The Appellant had 89 convictions for 144 offences but further investigations after sentence showed he was both someone who suffered from acute mental health problems, had completed elements of his suspended sentence order and one of his committals for sentence, had been committed up under the wrong section of PCC(S)A 2000.
