Clare Dowse's client found not guilty by reason of insanity in unusual trial at Isleworth Crown Court

Clare Dowse has secured a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity in a trial involving a rare procedure under the Trial Of Lunatics Act 1883.

Clare's client was charged with a series of very serious assaults during April and May 2018, with the jury in the complex proceedings finding that at the relevant times he was legally insane and so not responsible in law for his actions.
