Flavia Kenyon successful in £6 million double importation of cocaine case

Flavia Kenyon has been successful in the defence of an international haulage driver accused of a double importation of 74 kg of high purity cocaine worth £6 million from the Continent into the UK.

The driver was firstly accused of importing 58 kg of cocaine concealed inside a piece of machinery found in the trailer he was driving as he arrived at Dover docks. The driver was released on bail under investigation. A year later the driver was stopped again at Dover and 16kg of cocaine were found concealed inside two fire extinguishers mounted on the trailer he was driving.

The jury at Canterbury Crown Court returned unanimous Not Guilty verdicts after 5 hours of deliberations.
