John Femi-Ola QC and Ruth Reid lead panel discussion on Diversity

Ruth Reid and her organisation Cake & Counsel co-hosted an event with the University of Bristol Bar Society in celebration of Black History Month. The event titled "No Bar to the Bar: Being Black at the Bar" was held on 27th October 2020. The event was used to show and encourage aspiring barristers that there are successful Black barristers practising in the UK, despite the damning statistics. She was joined by a panel of 3 barristers including John Femi-Ola QC of chambers. Feedback was greatly received from this event and as a result of this, Ruth has been approached to deliver a session at LegalEx on December 3rd 2020.
