Patrick Harte defends the ‘Topshop Terrorist’ at the Old Bailey

Patrick Harte appeared in the widely reported case of Ibrahim Anderson at the Central Criminal Court. Mr Anderson, who achieved notoriety in 2016 for promoting the activities of ISIL / ISIS on Oxford Street pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to 15 similar offences. He accepted he had shared videos which again promoted the aims of the so-called Islamic State. Judge Philip Katz QC said some of the material shared by Anderson was "at the worst end of the range seen in this court".

Patrick was instructed by Aamer Rathor of Newgate Solicitors.
