Re-trial ordered in gang rape case after interpreter mistranslates evidence

Flavia Kenyon represents a defendant in a gang rape case at Coventry Crown Court which had to be halted after six days when Flavia spotted that the interpreter was mistranslating the evidence. Flavia made an application to discharge the jury which was consented to by the trial judge.

The case will be relisted for trial on a date to be fixed at Birmingham Crown Court later this year.
