Ruth Reid’s client acquitted in rape trial at Leeds Crown Court

Ruth Reid

Ruth Reid represented a client who was unanimously acquitted of rape and four other counts after a 2-week trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Her client initially faced a six-count indictment, which was reduced to five counts after her submissions on whether one of the counts was made out on the prosecution evidence. The jury then acquitted the defendant of the remaining five counts.

Ruth Reid was instructed by Lauren Mercurius-Taylor of MTC Law.
