Ruth Reid represented a client who was acquitted of six counts at trial. The counts included two allegations of non-fatal strangulation, ABH, assault by beating, taking a vehicle without consent and controlling and coercive behaviour.

The jury acquitted the defendant of all counts after trial.

The defendant was sentenced for a single lesser matter to which they had previously pleaded guilty. Ruth Reid was instructed by Nicola Copson of Harris Cuffaro & Nichols solicitors
