Ruth Reid represented a client who was unanimously acquitted of s18 GBH (s20 in the alternative) and criminal damage after a 5-day trial at Luton Crown Court.
The defence case was that the defendant was acting in lawful self-defence and questioned causation of the injuries sustained by the Complainant. The Crown’s limited CCTV of the incident was challenged regarding its attribution of the defendant in some stills.
The jury acquitted the defendant on all counts.
