Samantha Ball successful in intentional strangulation, assault, theft and criminal damage trial

Samantha Ball

Samantha Ball, instructed by Kate Harrington of Penfold & McPherson Solicitors, represented a client in a trial at Salisbury Crown Court.

Samantha’s client faced an indictment containing seven counts, including two counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of assault by beating, two counts of theft, and one count of criminal damage. The allegations were alleged to have been committed during the course of a relationship.

Samantha made a successful submission of no case to answer on one of the intentional strangulation counts and one of the theft counts. The jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on the remaining five counts. The prosecution applied for a restraining order on acquittal which Samantha successfully opposed.
