Following 3 weeks of trial the jury convicted the defendant of murder and possession of an offensive weapon.  The case was prosecuted by Simon Gledhill, leading Jodie Hitchcock. 

The prosecution case relied on a combination of expert witnesses in disciplines of Pathology, DNA analysis and Imagery Comparison together with cross-examination of a defence expert witness in the discipline of cell-site analysis. 

Simon and Jodie were instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service.
