Simon Gledhill successful in attempt murder trial

Simon Gledhill

Simon Gledhill has today secured the acquitted of his client of both attempted murder and wounding with intent in the alternative in a case that has drawn significant attention from the national media. The prosecution allegation was that the Defendant, aged 90, had attempted to kill his blind 90 year old wife by repeatedly stabbing her whilst she slept as he could no longer cope with the responsibility of being her sole carer. Whilst the Defendant accepted stabbing his wife, the defence case was the Defendant accepted he had wounded his wife but he had acted recklessly in a state of confusion and intended no really serious harm.

Simon was instructed by Sundeep Pankhania of H.P. Gower solicitors.
