Having pleaded partway through the trial in 2024, Tim Forte KC again led Richard Reynolds at Cardiff CC in the Newton Hearing and sentence for one of the two defendants in one of the largest people smuggling conspiracies ever to come before the English courts. The Crown’s initial case was that over 10,000 people had been smuggled, the eventual basis for sentence was approximately 400 people.
Tim and Richard were instructed by Nadeem Majid at M&M. The Recorder of Cardiff singled out M&M and counsel for taking the matter on at a late stage in 2024 and undertaking a massive amount of work in a short timeframe to enable the case to proceed.
