Selena Aylett (Associate Tenant)

Call 1999

Called to the bar in 1999 and following a full pupillage, Selena was one of the first to cross qualify as a solicitor advocate and practiced in all areas of criminal law for 13 years.

Her litigation and advocacy experience cover almost every type of case including murders, rapes,  international gangs and drug trafficking, inter gang violence, violent disorders, affrays, firearms, dangerous dogs, pornography, obscene publications, frauds, money laundering, domestic violence, employee theft including fraud within the NHS.

Selena is creative and flexible with the ability to negotiate at all levels and is an experienced duty solicitor in court and police stations.

Following a family move,  Selena developed a business providing wills and trusts to private clients for over 6 years.

Through her extensive business connections and networking, one of her referrals resulted in her preparing the leading case of R v Andrewes.

Selena has also participated as a judge at University mooting competitions and has mentored international law students following their London programmes.
