3TG is one of the foremost sets of chambers in Crime, ranked both in Chambers and Partners UK Bar and The Legal 500. Individual members are ranked across the spectrum in General Crime and Criminal Fraud.

From our highly ranked silks to our up-and-coming stars at the Junior end, our Crime team is entrusted with a wide range of criminal cases – murder and gangland violence, Organised Crime, including serious drugs offending, Sexual Offences, financial crime and terrorism. Members of Chambers also conduct Private Prosecutions and Courts Martial.

Expert in dealing with technical evidence, we have been a Chambers of choice for many in the Operation Venetic, EncroChat cases, with members acting in a number of the Preparatory Hearings and interlocutory Appeals to the Court of Appeal, and applications to the Supreme Court and the Investigatory Powers Tribunal.

We have defended in a number of cases involving allegations of murder of police officers in the line of duty, as well as numerous cases involving explosives (including hand grenades).

We have been instructed to represent alleged members of far right extremist terrorist organisations, as well as alleged fundamentalist terrorists. Some advocates have carved out a niche in defending high profile Rap and Drill artists.

Members of Chambers have held conferences and webinars on a variety of topics, including EncroChat and Modern Slavery, with guest speakers of the calibre of Baroness Butler-Sloss.
