Charles Durrant, instructed by Danielle Horton of Wheldon Law, has been successful in securing the acquittal of his client in a stranger rape case.
The allegation was made following an incident in a car park in St Albans and was partially captured on a member of the public’s mobile phone. The complainant was said to be 4 times over the legal limit to drive and of a different sexual persuasion than the defendant. Expert evidence called on toxicology.
The defendant was acquitted in 37 minutes after 5 day trial at St Albans Crown Court.
