Puneet Grewal was instructed to represent the defendant in the Crown Court for committal for sentence of 21 charges of historic sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 and 16. The defendant lead the youth program at the church and explained the assaults as a ‘gradual progression' and that he got ‘caught up in the moment'. The prosecutor described it as grooming over a period of time when the defendant abused the trust placed in him by the church.
